Welcome to the June 2011 edition of Relegen News. Whilst it's been some time since we wrote, it’s been a hive of activity here at Relegen!

New baseLINE Data Import Wizard

A Data Import Wizard is now available for baseLINE. This new service enables you to import asset and asset attribute data on mass using ASCII comma separated value (CSV) file types. It’s an easy step-by-step process with options to ensure you remain in control, including the ability to direct how to handle duplicates. The fields in your spreadsheet won’t need to adhere to a specific naming convention – rather the wizard allows you to map fields in your CSV file to the fields in the database. When complete, you save the import routine as a template so it will be remembered for the next time. And, you can even do a trial data import that won’t commit any changes to the database before you execute the real thing.

New baseLINE Report Builder

A new Report Builder is also now available as a baseLINE service. With it, you can design and execute custom reports on-demand for gathering specific intelligence on all your assets and making more informed business decisions. Report on any asset and asset attribute, at any point in time, as well as any combination of these. Report data can then be exported into a CSV or Excel file for further scrutiny or manipulation.

Putting these new services to work

Combined, these two new services can make light work of mass database updates. Data can be exported using the Report Builder, updated and re-imported using the Data Import Wizard. New global partner program

Relegen is set to introduce a global partner program. The new program, which will be officially rolled out in the next couple of weeks, offers a number of ways for organisations to join forces with us. With the growing demand from industry, partners will play an important role in helping customers investigate and implement asset management solutions that drive their businesses forward. New partners on board

Ahead of the official program launch, we’d like to welcome TEX Solutions to the Relegen Partner Program as a Certified Agent. The Sydney-based TEX team has a proven track record helping organisations with business development and delivering educational solutions for the Automation, Communications, Entertainment & Security industries.

We would also like to welcome Coton, a newly-formed South African firm, who are joining Relegen as a full-scale Solution Partner. The Coton team has extensive asset management and IT experience. Combined, they have expertise in RFID integration, database design and project management. Coton’s business in South Africa is staged for quick growth – leveraging the technologies Relegen has developed in Australia.

Canberra office opens for business

Relegen has established a new regional office in Australia’s capital city of Canberra. This additional site will serve as an important base for our ongoing supply of world-class engineering expertise to the Australian Defence Force.

Welcome to a new team member

Another very warm welcome, this time to new Relegen staffer Darren Knights.
Darren joins us from GHD where he was Business Leader Defence Materiel. Darren will be the point of contact for Relegen engineering services, primarily to the Australian Defence Force, and our wider commercial sector clients.
